Educational Qualification : 

• Mines Manager:
• Qualification: 1st Class Coal Mines Manager’s Competency Certificate under CMR-1957/2017 preferably having degree/ diploma in Mining Engineering.
• Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in an Opencast Coal/Lignite mining project after obtaining 1st Class Coal Mines Manager’s Competency Certificate under CMR-1957/2017.
• Age: not more than 55 years for all categories
• Assistant Manager: ( 1st Class):
• Qualification: 1st Class Coal Mines Manager’s Competency Certificate under CMR-1957 /2017 preferably having degree/ diploma in Mining Engineering.
• Experience: At least 2 years of working experience in an Opencast Coal/Lignite mining project. after obtaining 1st Class Coal Mines Managers Competency Certificate under –CMR-1957/2017.
• Age: not more than 55 years for all categories
• Assistant Manager (2nd class):
• Qualification: 2nd Class Coal Mines Manager’s Competency Certificate under CMR-1957/2017 preferably having degree/ diploma in Mining Engineering.
• Experience: At least 2 years of working experience in an Opencast coal / lignite mining project, after obtaining 2nd Class Coal Mines Manager’s Competency Certificate under CMR-1957/2017.
• Age: not more than 50 years for general and EWS candidates, not more than 53 years for OBC and not more than 55 years for SC and ST categories
• Mines Surveyor:
• Qualification: Coal Mine Surveyor’s Competency Certificate under CMR 1957/2017
• Experience: At least 2 years of working experience in opencast Coal/ Lignite mining project after obtaining Mines Surveyor’s Competency Certificate under CMR-1957/2017.
• Age: not more than 50 years for general and EWS candidates, not more than 53 years for OBC and not more than 55 years for SC and ST categories
• Overman:
• Qualification: Overman Competency Certificate under CMR-1957/2017
• Experience: At least 2 years of working experience in an opencast coal/lignite mining project after obtaining Overman’s Competency Certificate under 1957/2017.
• Age: not more than 50 years for general and EWS candidates, not more than 53 years for OBC and not more than 55 years for SC and ST categories
• Mining Sirdar:
• Qualification: Overman or Mining Sirdar Competency Certificate under CMR-1957/2017 
• Experience: At least 1 year of working experience in an opencast coal/lignite mining project after obtaining Overman or Mining Sirdar Competency Certificate under CMR-1957/2017
• Age: not more than 50 years for general and EWS candidates, not more than 53 years for OBC and not more than 55 years for SC and ST categories
• Colliery Engineer (Mechanical):
• Qualification for Colliery Engineer (Mechanical): Degree Certificate in Mechanical Engineering 
• Experience: at least 2 years of working experience in a mechanized opencast lignite / coal mining project after obtaining Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Age: not more than 50 years for general and EWS candidates, not more than 53 years for OBC and not more than 55 years for SC and ST categories
• Colliery Engineer (Civil):
• Qualification for Colliery Engineer (Civil): Degree Certificate in Civil Engineering
• Experience: at least 2 years of working experience in civil works in any mechanized opencast coal / lignite mine.
• Age: not more than 50 years for general and EWS candidates, not more than 53 years for OBC and not more than 55 years for SC and ST categories
• Electrical Foreman/ Supervisor: 
• Qualification for Electrical Foreman/ Supervisor: Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering with Electrical Supervisor (Mines) Certificate from the authorised licensing board of the respective State.
• Age: Not more than 45 years for general and EWS candidates, not more than 48 years for OBC and not more than 50 years for SC and ST candidates
• Mechanical Foreman/ Supervisor: 
• Qualification for Mechanical Foreman/ Supervisor: Degree Certificate in Mechanical Engineering 
• Experience: At least 1 year of working experience in mechanized coal / lignite mining project.
• Age: Not more than 45 years for general and EWS candidates, not more than 48 years for OBC and not more than 50 years for SC and ST candidates
• Electrician: 
• Qualification: ITI in Electrical or Wireman with Wiremen Certificate issued by the authorized licensing board of the respective State
• Experience: At least 1 year of working experience after obtaining Wireman Certificate.
• Age: Not more than 35 years for general and EWS candidates, not more than 38 years for OBC and not more than 40 years for SC and ST candidates

• Please note that general category candidates and the contractual employees presently working in GPCL have to submit a demand draft of rupees five hundred (Rs.500/-) in favour of Gujarat Power Corporation Limited, payable at Gandhinagar (Gujarat) and the SC/ST/OBS/EBC candidates have to submit a demand draft of rupees two hundred (Rs.200/-) in favour of Gujarat Power Corporation Limited, payable at Gandhinagar (Gujarat) for each post
